Shadow Painting: Mixed Media Mini Workshop with local artist Miranda Wildman at ArtPlay Creative Studio in Asheville

In this three hour Saturday evening of creative community, local artist Miranda Wildman will guide you in the process of creating art using candle-lit shadows as your muse!

Join us for a delightful and relaxing evening of art-making on Main Street at Wine Sage Merchant + Wine. Whether you're an art enthusiast, a wine connoisseur, or just looking for a fun night out, everyone is welcome to enjoy this vibrant community gathering. Miranda will provide exciting and unique mixed media materials to create dynamic art pieces and Merit has a plethora of delectable + delicious wine by the glass or by the bottle for purchase. (Non-alcohol beverages available)

Gather in downtown Hendersonville for an evening of shadow art play and shopping unique gifts. We will explore the use of watercolor paints with botanical shadows as our inspiration. Enjoy a delightful glass of wine while we relax, make art, shop, and share lovely conversation amidst the warm glow of the lovingly curated American Refinery Boutique.

Join us for a special evening of art making at Flora in Asheville where Miranda will share her shadow painting techniques with you by way of the delightful use of watercolor paints, pencils, and various papers to create enchanting art pieces inspired by shadows.

Join us at Art Place Studios for a morning of creative play and relaxation! Local Artist Miranda Wildman will offer gentle guidance in the use of materials such as acrylic paints, water-soluble crayons, markers, hand-painted papers, textile remnants, flora + fauna collage ephemera, silver + gold leaf, and surprise mixed media materials. During our time together we will create mixed-media mementos on wood and canvas. With a focus on play and experimentation with colors, textures, and layers inspired by the season, we create expressive and unique pieces of art that can be shared as gifts or collected as cherished mementos. 

For Valentine’s Day Join Miranda and friends for a Valentine Art Soirée at Canoe Kitchen + Bar in Lake Lure, the cutest little 1930’s “Log Shop” turned restaurant right on the lake in the heart of Western North Carolina. The perfect art date night for lovers, friends, neighbors, siblings, parents (grand + great too), kids, co-workers, classmates, or anyone who wants to have fun making art with loved ones!

Join Miranda Wildman for an evening of playful painting and companionship at the delightful Hoopers Creek Wine Market where we will joyfully collaborate with light and botanicals to create shadow art. Ticket includes one (1) glass of Nowy rouge, a fun floral wine that pairs with Shadow Art and Valentines Day perfectly!
