Welcome spring at Blind Tiger Hotel with a watercolor festoonery party — an evening of play, paint, and pure delight.

What’s festoonery? Think drifting garlands, expressive pennants, joyful swags, and party decorations that make a room alive!

We’ll warm up with loose, playful watercolor techniques: splash, blot, layer, lift — welcome happy accidents. Then turn your papers into adornments for home: sun-catching garlands, pennant banners, draped swags, and soft color swathes. Mix shapes, textures, colors — knot, paste, or clip.

Bring a friend and enjoy noshes and libations in the welcoming and artful Blind Tiger Living Room whilst creating whimsy to take home!  Leave with armfuls of handmade festoonery and a celebratory sense of spring.

Creating art playfully and without judgment lets us forget about being perfect. It opens room for self-reflection, connecting with others, and simply enjoying the process. Further more, making art together in a judgment-free space challenges ideas of what art “should be,” sparking conversations that build understanding and kindness. This open approach celebrates different viewpoints, since everyone’s background, experiences, and culture shape their art uniquely.
