Fuel for Your Creative Fire

This is my first blog post. Welcome! My intention for this space is to get down in writing some of the stuff swirling around in my brain. And, at the same time, benefit YOU by sharing useful, creative tidbits. Without further hesitation, my loves, here it is…

Ever wonder what artists are using to create? Here are some of my favorite Art Materials for Creative Expression:

  • Faber-Castell PITT artist pen big brush Marker allows you to make sweeping, juicy, colorful marks

  • Seven Year Pen by Seltzer Goods Refillable Ball Point Pen for journal writing and dream recording

  • Leesa Renee Hall Provides Expressive Writing Prompts through Patreon to work through unconscious biases surrounding racism. Writing through these prompts has allowed me to get unstuck and gain confidence in the steps I need to take personally to be a part of breaking down systems of oppression and be a better ancestor. I highly recommend Leesa’s Expressive Writing Prompts!

  • Journal Junky Write it all down in these earth-friendly journals!

  • Design Sponge has a new podcast! Go listen to Good Company Podcast right now and you will be so happy with not only the variety of artists and designers that Grace Bonney interviews, but also how the conversations go deeper than the visual layers of design & art, and subjects like social justice and equality are part of the main conversation.

Stay tuned next month for more of the creative and artful tidbits I have been brimming with to share with you in my Life As Art Blog Place. I'm so glad and thankful you are here. Until then, cheers!
